Mike Dominguez update

Dominguez, a 2005 Capital High graduate, poured in 37 points and hit the game-winning jumper with :01 left on the clock to lift Mesa State College to an 81-79 win over New Mexico Highlands in his first game back in New Mexico since the 2005 Class AAAA state championship game.
Dominguez knocked down 13 of 21 shots, including 5 of 9 from 3-point range. He scored 23 points in the second half as he helped erased a Cowboys lead that was as much as 71-59 with 5:50 to go. Dominguez scored 10 points during that closing 22-8 run, including a layup to give Mesa State a 77-76 lead with 1:52 to go and then another jumper for 79-77 at :47.
The win keeps No. 17 Mesa State atop the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference standings at 8-0 and improved its overall mark to 14-1.
